Home Rabbit operates a comparison and lead-referral website for home-related financial and insurance products. We do not lend money, make credit decisions, originate loans, broker mortgages, or sell, solicit, underwrite, bind, or issue insurance. Any loan or policy is offered and issued solely by the third-party provider you choose to work with.
Government non-affiliation and reverse mortgages
Home Rabbit is a private company and is not affiliated with HUD, the FHA, or any government agency. Reverse mortgage products are offered by third-party lenders. Federally insured Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECMs) require a counseling session with an independent HUD-approved counselor before you can proceed. Borrowers remain responsible for property taxes, homeowners insurance, home maintenance costs, and any HOA fees, and must occupy the home as a primary residence.
How we make money
The Service is free to you. We are paid by lenders, insurance carriers, and marketing partners, typically when we refer your inquiry to them or when a referral results in a contact, quote, loan, or policy. The compensation we receive may influence which partners and offers are presented and the order in which they appear. We do not represent all lenders, insurers, or products in the market.
